NCS AREA 2 COMMAND ONNE RECORD IMPRESSIVE SEIZURES WORTH N11.2 BILLION 

Ignoring warnings from CGC Adeniyi, some individuals persist in sabotaging importation processes, prompting NCS Area 2 Command Onne to announce a significant achievement in border security and public safety enforcement.

The Customs Area Controller(CAC) Comptroller Mohammed Babandede revealed that the Command has seized seven 40-foot containers containing various contraband items, including cough syrup codeine, chilly cutters, and pain relief tablets. The estimated value of the seizures is ₦11.2 billion.

The CAC noted that the seizures were made possible through collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and other sister agencies.

Comptroller  Babandede emphasized that the Command has also generated significant revenue in the first half of the year, with a total of ₦312.09 billion, representing 50.5% of its annual target.

Babandede reiterated that the Command has resolved to protecting the nation’s economy and security, and warned that those involved in illegal activities will face the consequences. The seized items will be handed over to the NDLEA for further investigation.
Breakdown of the items:

A total of Seven (7) seized Containers were seized:
1,054,400 bottles of different cough syrup codeine (100ml)
9,100 pieces of Chilly Cutter
2,175,000 tablets of Hyergra tablets (200mg)
1,300,000 tablets of Really Extra Diclofenac Pain Relief tablets (50mg)

He reported that the seizures is estimated at Eleven billion, Two million naira (₦11,200,000,000.) which represents a huge loss on the part of those involved despite the fact of a jail term that awaits any of them who will be arrested as a result of further

He explained that as  at this morning the Command has generated Forty-Eight billion, Fifty Six Million, Eight hundred and Six Thousand, Six hundred and Ninety Two naira ₦48,056,806,692.00 in the month of July and we still have five working days left in the month.

He assured that the Command remains committed to increasing its revenue profile while protecting public health and safety, but warned that the command will not tolerate any action that compromises the economy and security of our beloved nation.
