BUNU FELICITATES WITH MUSLIMS ON EID-EL-FITRI, APPRECIATES STAKEHOLDERS
Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, the new President-General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to various dignitaries who attended the union’s book launch and Quadrennial Conference at the Festival Hotel, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.
In a press statement issued by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN, Comrade Bunu Abi, a trained Business Administrator, Maritime Expert, and seasoned Sailor, also extended his greetings to Muslim faithfuls across the country on the occasion of EID-EL-FITR, marking the end of the Holy Ramadan fast.
Comrade Francis Bunu urged Muslim brothers and sisters in the country to embody the teachings of Prophet Muhammad by demonstrating love, kindness, charity, and forgiveness towards one another.
He emphasized that these values are fundamental tenets of Islam as recorded in the Holy Quran. Furthermore, Comrade Bunu admonished Muslims worldwide to renounce violence and instead embrace peace, unity, and goodwill in their daily lives. He stressed that tolerance is essential for peaceful coexistence among people of diverse backgrounds, tribes, and faiths.
In his message, Comrade Bunu wished all Muslims a joyous and peaceful Sallah celebration, promoting harmony and understanding within the community.
