Courtesy Visit: Chief Isikaku, Other Freight Forwarders’ Leaders Welcome CP Mike Okoh

The newly appointed Commissioner of Police for the Eastern Marine Command in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Mr. Mike Okoh, recently paid a courtesy visit to the executive members of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Onne Seaport Chapter.

During the visit, CP Okoh explained that his objective was to formally introduce himself to the ANLCA leadership, led by Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku (popularly known as Onwa), following earlier visits to other freight forwarding associations at the port.

He emphasized the significance of the visit, noting that ANLCA is regarded as the umbrella body for other freight forwarding groups operating within the Onne Seaport environment. Okoh highlighted the importance of a strong relationship between the Police and ANLCA, stressing mutual support and ongoing collaboration.

He also commended ANLCA’s leadership for maintaining a harmonious relationship with his predecessor, expressing hope that such cooperation would continue during his tenure.

In his response, Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku warmly welcomed CP Okoh and thanked him for the honor of visiting their chapter. He also expressed appreciation to the Nigeria Police Force, Eastern Marine Command, for helping to maintain a secure and business-friendly environment at Onne Seaport, which benefits both ANLCA and the Nigeria Customs Service.

Chief Isikaku reaffirmed ANLCA’s commitment to working closely with the Police under CP Okoh’s leadership. He also pledged to reciprocate the visit to the CP’s Command Office as a sign of respect and solidarity.

Additionally, leaders of other freight forwarding associations present at the event—Chief Emeka Nwosu (National Association of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents), Hon. Forwarder Ike Anselm Okechukwu (NAGAFF), and Prince Comrade Obinna Ugochukwu (AREFFN)—also took the opportunity to commend CP Okoh for prioritizing engagement with stakeholders despite his busy schedule. They assured him of their full cooperation and support for his Command and the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) Police Station at Onne.

CP Okoh was accompanied on the visit by his team of officers, including the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the NPA Police Station, Onne. Members of ANLCA and representatives of the other associations were also present to receive him.
