COWA Ogun I Command Chapter Donates Medical Supplies to Idiroko General Hospital and Customs Medical Center
The Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA), Ogun I Command Chapter, under the leadership of its Chairperson, Mrs. Fausat Otunla, carried out a noteworthy Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative today through visits to the General Hospital, Idiroko, and the Customs Medical Center, Idiroko.
At the General Hospital, the COWA delegation was warmly welcomed by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Kilanko Margaret, alongside the Chief Matron and hospital staff. The association was given a tour of the hospital wards, where they distributed a significant number of mosquito nets to patients and expectant mothers attending antenatal clinics. Additionally, the hospital received a donation of 50 bed sheets.
Dr. Kilanko, speaking on behalf of the hospital’s management, expressed deep appreciation for COWA’s generous contributions. She emphasized the positive impact the donations would have on patient care and assured the association of the hospital’s readiness to collaborate further, including extending medical services to COWA members and their families. A representative of the antenatal patients, Mrs. Sodiq Ola, also thanked the association for the thoughtful gesture and offered prayers for their continued success.
In a similar act of goodwill, COWA visited the Customs Medical Center in Idiroko, where they donated mosquito nets and customized bed sheets. The items were graciously received by Superintendent of Customs (SC) Dr. Abdulmalik Zakariyyah on behalf of the medical staff, who conveyed their sincere thanks for the association’s kind support.
Speaking during the outreach, Mrs. Fausat Otunla reaffirmed that the initiative reflects COWA’s dedication to community development and the overall well-being of families in and around Idiroko. She reiterated the association’s ongoing commitment to supporting healthcare institutions and improving the quality of life for residents. “This CSR effort highlights COWA’s compassionate vision and its role in promoting the health and welfare of the community,” she concluded.
