Comptroller Gambo Aliyu Visits Sister Security Agencies to Strengthen Collaboration
As part of ongoing efforts to combat crime, smuggling, and other threats to national security, Comptroller Gambo Iyere Aliyu, the Customs Area Controller of the Oyo/Osun Area Command, paid courtesy visits to key sister agencies. These included the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
During his visit to the Nigeria Correctional Service, Comptroller Aliyu highlighted the Service’s vital role in the country’s security framework, especially in the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders into society. He acknowledged the agency’s significant contributions to peace, stability, and Nigeria’s socio-economic advancement.
At the Nigeria Immigration Service, Comptroller Aliyu praised the agency’s efforts in securing Nigeria’s borders. He commended their professionalism and dedication to managing migration, which he emphasized is critical to both national security and economic stability. He also reaffirmed the NIS’s key role in tackling cross-border crimes and curbing unlawful activities that hinder the nation’s development.
Concluding his visits, Comptroller Aliyu reiterated the Oyo/Osun Area Command’s dedication to fostering strong collaboration with all sister agencies to bolster national security, drive economic growth, and safeguard Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
