COWA PTML Welcomes New Chairperson, Nabila Miko
The Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA), PTML Chapter, has ushered in a new leadership with the formal assumption of office by Mrs. Nabila Nura Miko as Chairperson. She pledged to prioritise members’ welfare, expand empowerment programmes, and deepen the association’s community service initiatives.
Speaking during the handover ceremony held at the PTML Command, Mrs. Miko assured members of 
her commitment to leading with a strong sense of responsibility. She stated that her administration would build on the achievements of previous leaders while advancing the objectives of the association.
She expressed appreciation to the National President of COWA, Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi, for her visionary leadership and dedication to the growth of the association nationwide.
The new Chairperson also paid tribute to her predecessor, Mrs. Ifeoluwa Anani, for laying a solid foundation through impactful programmes and initiatives that have strengthened the PTML Chapter over the years.
Outlining her vision for the chapter, Mrs. Miko said her leadership would focus on enhancing support systems for officers’ wives, particularly during challenging times, while expanding skills acquisition and economic empowerment programmes aimed at improving members’ financial independence.
In his remarks, the Customs Area Controller of PTML Command, Deputy Comptroller Nura Miko, described the ceremony as a celebration of continuity, service, and the invaluable contributions of officers’ wives to the Nigeria Customs Service family.
He commended the outgoing leadership for its achievements and acknowledged the vital role COWA members play in maintaining stable homes, which enable Customs officers to effectively carry out their responsibilities in revenue generation, trade facilitation, and anti-smuggling operations.
Deputy Comptroller Miko also congratulated the new Chairperson and expressed confidence in her ability to build on the successes of the previous administration and further advance the chapter’s programmes and activities.
