DOCKWORKERS ABTML UNIT OFFICIALLY INAUGURATED
The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), through its Dockworkers Branch, has officially inaugurated a new unit at the Apapa Bulk Terminal Limited (ABTML) in Apapa, Lagos.
The ceremony took place at the Union’s National Secretariat, located at 119 Osho Drive, Olodi-Apapa, Lagos, and was attended by the Union’s leadership, including members of the Seafarers’ Branch, who were present to show solidarity.
The newly elected officers of the ABTML unit include:
• Comrade Adebayo Ayodele – Chairman
• Chibuzor Uruakpa – Vice Chairman
• Ganiyu Olumuyiwa – Secretary
• Sunday John – Assistant Secretary
• Samuel O. Bassey – Treasurer
• Destiny Oliseh – Organizing Secretary
• Chigozie Nwabani – Assistant Organizing Secretary
• Chukwudi Obialor – Ex-Officio
During the inauguration, the MWUN leadership urged the new executives to maintain exemplary conduct both during and after work hours, emphasizing that their actions reflect not only on themselves but also on the image of the Union.
The Union extended congratulations to the newly elected officers and reminded them of their responsibility to uphold the reputation and integrity of the organization at all times.
