PRINCE ADEYANJU HONOURS PRINCE SHITTU AT 75
Former President-General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and Global Vice President of the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF), Prince Adewale Adeyanju, has extended warm felicitations to the President-Emeritus of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Comrade (Prince) Olayiwola Shittu, on the occasion of his 75th birthday.
Prince Shittu, who began his distinguished career at the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), served diligently and honorably before venturing into the freight forwarding industry.
As the pioneer President of ANLCA, the Oyo-born royal brought innovation, transformation, and structure to the association, earning it a respected place in Nigeria’s maritime landscape. His visionary leadership and reforms elevated ANLCA to new heights, positioning it as one of the foremost clearing and forwarding bodies in the country.
Prince Adeyanju described Shittu as “a reformer, transformer, and innovator” whose ideals reshaped the clearing and forwarding profession in Nigeria. He noted that under Shittu’s tenure, ANLCA not only achieved national prominence but also established valuable international affiliations that enhanced its global recognition.
He further commended Prince Shittu’s dedication, philanthropy, and integrity, highlighting his numerous humanitarian contributions that have earned him local and international accolades.
“Prince Shittu is not just a leader but a symbol of grace, strength, and purpose,” Adeyanju said. “His selfless service and remarkable achievements have left an enduring mark on Nigeria’s maritime industry.”
Adeyanju also lauded Shittu’s global influence, noting that his professional reach and contributions have earned him respect across the international maritime community.
